A Female Entrepreneur
Plenty of women business owners insist that women entrepreneurs should call themselves anything they want. Many prefer to be called, simply, entrepreneur, while others suggest woman entrepreneur or female entrepreneur. The choice of what to call yourself as an entrepreneur is yours. Why does this matter? It matters because it’s how you see yourself and finding more than just confidence.
Female-run enterprises are steadily growing all over the world, contributing to household incomes and growth of national economies. What we call ourselves and what you say to yourself will bring you strength on those lonely days as a solopreneur.
While the number of women operating their own businesses is increasing globally, women continue to face huge obstacles that stunt the growth of their success. The last thing a female entrepreneur needs is self-doubt. However, along with the title comes worry, negativity, disappointment, and discouragement. Or the fear of not being good enough and the fear of letting down others, while staying stuck and struggling. Meanwhile, no one wants to disappoint their loved ones.
The road to success is paved with losses, mishaps, and mistakes, but it can still take you where you want to go as long as you don’t lose sight of your ultimate destination. Women must contend with a wide range of challenges in business. Failure is a very real possibility in any business venture. Failure shouldn’t be viewed as a negative or an excuse for relinquishing your goals. The word fear is what holds every female entrepreneur by their skirts.
Fears of Female Entrepreneurs
Fear is something that can paralyze a person. However, anyone can learn how to deal with their fears. The main problem that people face when it comes to their fears is that they want to cling to the fear because it has become a part of who they are. If you are not ready to face your fears, you are not going to be able to get over them quite yet.
When it comes down to it, fear is just a fear. Most of the time there is no rational reason for the fear that you have. Typically, these fears are simply a part of your imagination that has run wild with the worst-case scenario type of thoughts. When you decide to simply take some action and face the fear, the fear will become weaker. This is because most of the time you begin to realize that reality is not as bad as what you have imagined in your mind.
Whatever you want to do or dream about doing, start taking action using affirmations. Affirmations are not necessarily a way to get rid of fear, but rather about learning to relate to your fears in a new way. It is quite amazing how powerful they can be. Affirmations help overcome some of the larger-than-life struggles female entrepreneurs must overcome.
In addition to social expectations, funding, and other pressures female entrepreneurs must be confident and resilient, while yet balancing the dual responsibilities of business and family life. It begins as you build a healthy relationship with yourself. It may appear that some women have achieved sudden success, however, they may have been struggling for years with your same fears. Successful entrepreneurs step out of their comfort zone and do things that make them scared. The key to leading a successful business life is to either take opportunities or make opportunities. Success in life and business requires hard work and dedication for years–not some overnight miracle.
Positive Affirmations for Female Entrepreneurs
Creating and repeating affirmations is a process. Affirmations will prompt you to look deep inside yourself for inspiration as you build a mindset muscle. With practice and repetition, you will learn how to embrace success and attract all the good things you desire.
The words you choose are important. They should be positive, present tense, and specific. The more specific and positive your affirmations are, the more effective they will be. Affirmations are positive statements that you say to yourself or write down repetitively. When you repeat these statements often enough, they will become part of your subconscious mind, and you will start to believe them. This belief will then manifest in your actions and help you achieve success.
Affirmations are powerful tools that can help female entrepreneurs overcome the struggles they face. If you’re feeling insecure or doubtful about your ability to succeed, repeat positive affirmations to yourself until you start believing them. You’re changing the recordings of fear and self-doubt. With enough self-belief and determination, you can overcome anything!
Using affirmations daily can help you overcome many of the struggles faced by female entrepreneurs. By repeating positive statements about yourself, your finances, and your business, you can change your mindset, attract abundance, and achieve success. Whether you call yourself a female entrepreneur, woman entrepreneur, mompreneur, entrepreneur or whatever hat you’re wearing makes no difference, but rather what you say to yourself brings you strength on those lonely days of being a solopreneur.
Affirmations are so powerful and I love how scientists believe they can actually “rewire” the brain by creating and reinforcing neural pathways.
It definitely requires intention. The new recordings quiet the old recordings. Keep practicing them
Great post, Lisa! I resonated with everything you said about being a female entrepreneur and using positive affirmations to face my fears. Much of my healing journey the past four years has been researching the mind/body connection (bioenergetics) through the use of affirmations, yoga positions, breathing techniques, sound, colors, crystals, etc. After healing my own body this way, I can say with certainty that we can rewire our brains to be free of dis-ease on our bodies. Thank you for sharing. Sending lots of love and light. Jaime
Thank you for sharing your personal experience. I appreciate you commenting this
Affirmations are a great tool to rewire the brain to stop replaying the old tape loops of negative self talk.
Affirmations are not a tool just for women but may be better if framed in a way that does not even indicate there is any difference in the ability to succeed. To affirm anything other than being a successful being is to weaken the affirmation.
Isn’t it like giving a compliment then adding “BUT” which negates what has already been said?
Yes! I have rewired my brain. It’s true, we are what our brain thinks.
