Here’s why. I’ll explain.

The mind is a mighty organ in our bodies; it affects many things in our lives. The power it has is enough to help you actualize your dreams. But, first, you have to let yourself believe it. It is fascinating how many thoughts our minds can have in a short period, like a minute; research shows that people have approximately 50,000 thoughts running through their minds in a day. Impressive, right? We can only imagine how many brilliant ideas can spring out of a world population of 7 billion each day. However, it is rather unfortunate that for most people, 80% of these thoughts are negative. With all these negative thoughts, it is easy for you to resign to an average life when you can choose to live to your fullest potential if you embrace positivity. How do you start? Through affirmations.

Affirmations are powerful statements, often simple, short, and carefully designed to have a considerable impact and self-change to anyone using them. These statements are usually constructed to affect your thinking patterns, behavior, and habits by aiming to affect your mind. Saying these affirmations or thinking them makes them become thoughts that eventually shape your reality. These statements assertively and firmly declare a positive thought as the truth, and once you live believing these thoughts, they turn into realities for you.

How do affirmations work?

Using a typical example of red cars, when you think about red cars on the road, you will spot many red cars that day. Similarly, when you think about wealth regularly, you are likely to make conscious decisions about your wealth. You start Wewsto pay attention to the things around you that have to do with wealth. And this applies to very many other positive thoughts that we might be having.

Effective affirmations are written in the first person, “I.” They are always positive; it beats the point of self-improvement to have a negative declaration. Additionally, you should write these affirmations in the present tense, as if they are already happening, even if it is a goal you want to achieve in two months or sometime in the future. The more you act like they are already true, the more you are likely to actualize your dream. Also, using emotional words in your affirmations gives your affirmations an emotional charge.

What are the benefits of affirmations?

  •       They act as a motivation and a reminder of what you want to achieve in life.
  •       They help attract what you desire and create the reality you want. They make you feel energetic and put you in a better position for an internal and external transformation.
  •       With affirmations, you can focus on your goals throughout the day.
  •       They also encourage us to believe in our environment, the place we want to be, and most of all, ourselves.

For these affirmations to be very effective, you have to be consistent, say them at least once a day, review them from time to time, and you will definitely see a change you will be proud of.
