Creating your vision and mission statement is the best way to ensure you’re heading in the right direction in order to create a life by design.
Here’s why it’s important for multi-passionate female entrepreneurs!
Multi-passionate female entrepreneurs are unique. It’s like driving a really fast race car through a residential neighborhood and know there’s so much more you could be doing with it, but you just don’t know how. You’re constantly switching gears, making split-second decisions, and doing whatever it takes to get ahead. It can be exhilarating and exhausting all at the same time.
It can be an agonizing feeling as you bump from one thing to the next, hoping you’ll stumble onto success—whatever that means to you… financial freedom, quitting a job, working a laptop lifestyle. Successful female entrepreneurs have a clear, focused view of what their lives should be. They create a life by design instead of a life by default.
Creating your vision and mission statement is the best way to ensure you’re heading in the right direction in order to create a life by design.
How will you know where you’re heading if you don’t know where you’re going? What journey are you taking?
In creating your vision, you are creating what your best life would look like. Your mission statement explains how you want to contribute to the world. In solution-based counseling, one thing that can be really effective in achieving a breakthrough is an exercise like this:
Suppose that tonight that while you sleep, a miracle happens and all your problems are solved. But because you were asleep when the miracle occurred, you aren’t even aware that it even happened. When you wake up tomorrow morning, how are you going to discover evidence of that miracle? What will you see yourself doing, thinking, or believing about yourself that will tell you a miracle has happened in your life or business?
Success appears as you find a sense of contentment. This contentment appears when you have a clear picture about the future where you control it, rather than feel it controls you. Where do you see yourself in the next year, the next five years ten years, or in retirement? As you think about your future self, what needs to happen for you to feel fulfilled and that you’ve been able to create the best life possible?
Creating your vision and mission statements creates the awareness of your future reality to be clear as possible which allows you to serve your life’s greater goal. Through visualization, you’re tapping into the senses of your future self which opens up a whole new dimension of understanding.
We have the power to create something amazing.
To live our life to the fullest we need to take a closer look at the habits of successful business owners. Successful entrepreneurs do the work and see the difference. Small habits compound both positively and negatively. The small steps you take every day will add up over time and you will see major improvements.
As you create your vision statement and mission statement, you are creating the road towards mastery. Just as compounding good habits can lead to an extraordinary life, compounding bad habits can lead to a life full of misery. Bad habits may seem harmless, but as you compound them over time, they become destructive.
