Blogging can be a lot of work.
From coming up with ideas and taking photos to editing and promoting your posts, it’s easy to burn out. That’s why more and more bloggers are taking breaks – and it’s totally okay! In fact, it can be really beneficial for both your mental health and your blog. Taking a break gives you a chance to recharge and come back with fresh ideas. It also gives your readers a break from always seeing your content, which can make them more engaged when you start blogging again. If you’re thinking of taking a break from blogging, go for it! Your blog will still be there when you’re ready to start creating again.
I wanted to be a blogging machine and I would post multiple a month. An SEO expert told me to post at least once a week in order to improve my site’s ranking and get more traffic. But then, I started to burn out. I was no longer enjoying it and it was starting to feel like a chore. So, I took a break. It was hard at first – I felt like I was missing out on something and that my readers would forget about me. But it was the best decision I could have made. Not only did it give me a chance to recharge and come back with fresh ideas, but it also allowed me to focus on other aspects of my business. Now, I have an approach to blogging with a more sustainable mindset and I’m much happier for it.
I think it’s called “Content Creator Burn Out.”
It just happened. One day, I couldn’t bring myself to sit down at the computer and write another word. I felt creatively drained, and the thought of coming up with something new to say was exhausting. So, I took a break. It’s been hard to justify taking time off when there’s so much content already published online. But I feel better and I’m glad to be back feeling refreshed and ready to write again. I’ve learned that it’s OK to take a break occasionally.
It’s definitely not easy to walk away from your work, but in the long run it will make you better at what you do. I was feeling burnt out from blogging and needed a break, so I took some time off.
