How Can Entrepreneurs Balance Their Masculine and Feminine Energies?
Everyone has both masculine and feminine energy.
Masculine energy is associated with strength and toughness. Feminine energy is about growth and life. The thinking that men are masculine, and women are feminine is not true. All of us have both masculine and feminine energy. Both have unique strengths. It’s up to us to learn and develop these energies in ourselves and respect them in others.
Most people rely on their masculine energy when it comes to being an entrepreneur. Masculine energy tends to be more logical, stable and predictable. It allows you to make decisions and create structure. Your masculine energy is the master of planning, creating boundaries, and providing discipline. If you feel unsafe in any way, tapping into masculine energy will protect you.
Masculine energy may be organized and structured, however, it lacks flexibility. Feminine energy is more nurturing and connecting. Feminine energy uses the heart and moves with compassion. It allows you to listen to your intuition and encourages creativity – it’s fluid and free.
Masculine energy is centered around taking logical action–more of an electrical energy. While feminine energy is knowing it by heart–more of a magnetic energy. Feminine energy is about being receptive and passive (meaning doing less to do more) and being in touch with your inner self.
Today, people are seeking more balance in their lives. Understanding the differences between your masculine and your feminine traits will help.
Some examples of feminine energy traits:
- Ease
- Flow
- Understanding
- Intuitiveness
- Creativity
- Stillness
- Magnetism
Some examples of masculine energy traits:
- Protective
- Assertive
- Decisive
- Action-Taker
- Driven
- Ambitious
- Dominant
Balancing the two energies is about being open and receptive to the world in “being” as the feminine and actively “doing” and achieving as the masculine. Overall, when you focus on activities that allow you to do and be, you make intentional decisions in business.
1. Be a Solution Seeker
It may appear that life is one big problem. Sometimes our subconscious mind is holding us back. An abundance mindset means you see possibilities instead of only seeing limitations. One of the most effective ways to cultivate an abundance mindset is to keep a gratitude journal. Our setbacks are life’s biggest learning lessons. Be open to what you’re willing to learn.
2. Spend More Time in Flow
Researchers say we can all benefit from separating tasks that require different energies. The reason this works is because it takes more energy to constantly switch between tasks and structured activities. This includes reducing the amount of time you spend on low-level activities. For example, limit the amount of time you spend on social media or with people who complain.
3. Embrace Transparency
It’s not weak to be vulnerable or transparent, but quite the opposite. Transparency and vulnerability strengthens connections and encourages safe mistakes, which breeds learning and creativity.
4. Invest in Yourself
Building a relationship with yourself, builds belief and trust. When you give yourself space (including a well-deserved time-out), you bring more energy to things that matter most. This self-awareness will allow you to shine from the inside out.
5. Elevate Your Standards
Respect yourself and eliminate negative energy. Build mutual nurturing relationships that are energetic, enthusiastic, and inspiring. Where you spend your time, is how you build your character. Standards are self-honor that nourish and support you to create healthy relationships.
Recognizing these energies can help female entrepreneurs gain a sense of balance in their lives. Respecting both energies can boost our emotional well-being while building stronger relationships without sacrificing ourselves.
