As a female entrepreneur, I know how hard it can be to juggle work, family, and personal life all at once. The dynamics of work and social interactions shifted during the Covid era. Covid changed how we showed up for work and especially for get-togethers. Happy hour has always been a great concept. And it’s a great idea for female entrepreneurs. Why?
1) It’s a chance to network with other like-minded women. Happy hour for female entrepreneurs is a great opportunity to meet other women and make connections. You never know who you might meet – it could be someone who becomes a great client, or even a new friend. In a recent study, it was shown that female entrepreneurs are more likely to succeed when they collaborate with other women. This is likely because women are able to relate to and understand each other, and they are also more likely to support and encourage each other.
2) It can be a stress reliever. Let’s face it – entrepreneurship can be stressful. Taking a little time out to unwind and relax can do wonders for your mental health. And when you’re in the company of others who understand what you’re going through, it can be even more therapeutic. If you’re not making time for yourself, you may learn a few ideas. The days of discounted drink prices and unhealthy habits have changed, all without social anxiety.
3) It gives you a chance to try new things. Happy hour can be a great opportunity to step outside your comfort zone. Use your creativity to talk business and break up the monotony of work and daily life. Plus, it’s a fun way to share experiences with others. Imagine being surrounded by like-minded individuals who are passionate about their careers and determined to make a difference.
4) Don’t kid yourself. Men have been casually striking deals on the golf course for years. Women run their businesses differently than men. Ladies, it’s the moment to showcase that new lipstick you’ve been eager to experiment with. Surround yourself with like-minded female entrepreneurs. Become obsessed with finding easier, healthier, and smarter ways to network.
5) It’s a reminder that you’re more than your work. It can be easy to get caught up in the daily grind of entrepreneurship. But taking time out for a happy hour reminds you that you’re more than your work. You’re a whole person with interests, hobbies, and a life outside of your family. And while work is important, it’s not the only thing that defines you.
As a female entrepreneur, it’s easy to put yourself last on the list of priorities. But taking time out for yourself is essential for your mental health, well-being, and overall happiness. Happy hour is a great way to do that. Whether you use it as a chance to network, relax, or try new things, it’s an opportunity to take a break from the daily grind and remind yourself that you’re more than your work. So the next time you’re feeling overwhelmed, or just need a little pick-me-up, consider inviting some fellow female entrepreneurs out for a happy hour. Your mind and body will thank you.
