Being a female entrepreneur right now is hard.
Like, really hard.
It can be overwhelming to juggle multiple passions and business at once. Becoming a multi-passionate female entrepreneur is not a choice. It’s who you are. And if you’re up for embracing the challenge, it can be an incredibly fulfilling lifestyle.
When it comes to being a multi-passionate entrepreneur, the possibilities are endless! It requires hard work and dedication.
However, the constant juggling creates self-doubt and anxiety.
If you want to maintain your mental health and reach your goals at the same time, creating your own strategy and your own blueprint is key–not just following someone else’s. One of the easiest ways for multi-passionate female entrepreneurs to get discouraged is by following someone else’s blueprint. Embracing your uniqueness is essential for your success. Being multi-passionate is a gift.
If you’re wondering what will help you bring it all together, here are tips specifically for multi-passionate female entrepreneurs that’ll help you achieve success from start to finish!
YOUR WELLNESS
Eating well, getting enough sleep each night, and self-care might seem easiest to give up when obstacles come up. When we keep grinding away towards our goals non-stop, we deplete our natural healthy sustainable life. Creating systems that allow you to focus on what matters most includes healthy habits that support long-term productivity. As a multi-passionate female entrepreneur when obstacles come your way, stay true to yourself and trust your vision. Ultimately your hard work will pay off.
BRING PASSION TO EVERYTHING YOU DO
Passion isn’t something you can go find because it doesn’t exist outside of yourself explains entrepreneur and writer, Marie Forleo. Passion isn’t a singular, external object for you to discover. It’s the fire that lives inside you. She explains, “to live a life you’re passionate about, you have to train yourself to bring passion to everything you do.” When you’re passionate about everything you do, people will take notice. When you follow your passions, happiness is the natural by-product. Multi-passionate female entrepreneurs want peace, joy, and abundance. As you focus on your personal passions, others will begin to notice–including your competition.
PRIORITIZATION
Life is short. You might be so overwhelmed you’re not even sure where to start. When negative self-talk starts, it’s time to stay active. Make it a priority to keep your body moving. Moving your body helps release energy which is healthy for your mind. I’m not talking about breaking a sweat. Rather set a goal to stay in motion for an amount of time that works for you–stretch, do tai chi, or walk your dog an extra block. Intentionally and proactively make space to take care of yourself, even in small ways. As a bonus, plan to check in with yourself throughout the day.
SUSTAINABILITY
Trends come and go. The commitment to sustainability has never been stronger. Surrounding yourself with things that calm your spirit through simplicity and intentionality makes it easy to protect the environment, empower people, and get results the right way–both today and tomorrow. When we recognize that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth – all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests, we can understand why passion is what drives entrepreneurs.
FROM START TO FINISH
Mindfulness is all about being in the moment. Overthinking is a huge obstacle in a world with so many distractions. From ‘start to finish’ is our biggest struggle. It’s not uncommon for a multi-passionate to start project after project, yet never finish. In Deep Work; Rules for Focused Success in a Distracted World, Cal Newport, points out how focusing your attention without distractions is a powerful tool. It’s a skill that allows you to quickly master complicated information and produce better results in less time. (Definitely add this book to your list of ‘reads’ this year).
As you navigate between priorities and commitments, know that you’re not alone and there are others who are multi-passionate. When you know what to prioritize, you’ll be able to bring ideas to life in a way that feels fun and expansive, instead of chaotic and stressful. Look for clarity and have more self-compassion. Skip the drama so you can focus on creating great content and have less stress.
