Momentum Is a Decision
My last post here went up at the end of July. Then summer happened, the way it always does.
I did not stop working. The Marketing Dopamine Workbook launched. The landing page came together. I kept showing up on LinkedIn twice a week. But the daily writing stopped, and a few weeks of quiet quietly turned into two months.
For a long time I believed momentum was something you either had or lost. That once the streak broke, the energy behind it was gone, and starting again meant starting from zero.
Momentum is not something you keep. It is something you choose again.
Here is what I noticed about coming back. It is easier than the first time. Not because the writing is easier, but because I already know I can do it. The first run proved the practice works. The second run only has to decide to continue.
That is true in marketing too. Brands go quiet. Newsletters skip a month. Campaigns stall when life gets busy. The mistake is treating the pause as a failure that needs an elaborate comeback. Most of the time, the people who were paying attention are still there. They just need you to show up again.
The trust you built before the pause did not disappear. It is waiting to see whether you return.
You do not need a grand restart. You just need the next post.
So here is mine. Not a reintroduction, not an apology for the quiet. Just a decision to keep going.
